We in the 1st Cav, the unit I was in, never got LLRP's rations. To be honest I did not know they existed, all we got were C rations and at times some K rations.

SGT Robert Urbaniak - When I was in in 70 sometimes we got WW2 C rations, which we liked such as Ham and Lima beans. I ate pound cake from Morton House Kitchens in Nebraska City that has been shut down for years since when I was a kid. This pound cake was made before I was born. It was still good.

We had to learn basically on our own, as we were dropped into the jungles, and always did the best we could.
