She probably helped process at least 10,000 people to become legal residents. She also helped the US Marines out when they needed every social-worker they could get to help resettle the tens of thousands of Vietnamese at Camp Pendleton. We are a country of laws. Back in those days, it took seven years for an illegal alien with kids in United States to become legally able to become permanent residence. the way things are going, you just go to a sanctuary City at for state and you are in period Federal versus state bickering. back in the day, my mother did things legally to help those who were here illegally. I wish Governor Jerry Brown and all those other Sanctuary City officials thought the same.

I have met many illegal aliens. Most of them are hard-working people. Some of them are actually educated. My mother helped process a doctor from Peru.
