1. There are many factions/perspectives/viewpoints on "the Left" especially when you are listening to someone as far right as Tucker Carlson or P.U., there are some in the Democratic party who believe in open borders, there are others who believe in tightly restricted immigration, there are none (to my knowledge) who believe in turning away refugees. Cesar Chavez belonged to the latter Union crowd who saw unlimited immigration as a threat to their negotiating power. Given the current two party system there are always going to be elements under those big tents that disagree with one another on important issues.
2. While there are elements in the Democratic party that support open borders, the Democratic Platform does not: https://democrats.org/issues/immigration-reform/ and given the power of Unions in the Democratic party, it is unlikely they will ever support open borders. I'm not sure that even those supporting what many call "Open Borders" really mean unchecked immigration.
3. Indiscriminate roundups of illegal aliens (many of whom are hard working and law abiding) is opposed by many Democrats, some would even like to see ICE eliminated. Video's of jackbooted thugs breaking down doors isn't something most Americans appreciate... not even other ICE investigators. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvGnr7lgEvg It is important to note that the complaint is against ICE and not the Border Patrol... Obama dramatically increased Border Patrol funding and I haven't heard any on the left criticize him at all for that. He was criticized for deporting more migrants than any other President before him, apparently the "Deporter In Chief" wasn't in on this conspiracy to bring in all these new Democratic voters.

Perhaps we shouldn't blame a partisan fake University for trying to muddle the facts when it comes to the debate withing the Democratic party regarding immigration. It's also hard to blame a right wing propaganda outlet for intentionally misrepresenting the Democratic Position on immigration... what responsibility do that have to be accurate? The problem is that if no one really understands what the other side is saying, it's unlikely we even manage to find common ground and make real progress when the right is focused on a minority who want to open the border and the left is focused on a minority who want to shoot people who cross illegally.

SSG (Join to see) - I served in sub-Saharan Africa covering 33 Embassies and Consulate. I saw the remnants of what happened to farmers with large holdings, when when Robert Mugabe instituted "land reform" in Zimbabwe. And sat with Zimbabwean military leaders who remembered with fond amusement and warm nostalgia what they did when they drove the white landowners off the farms.

No argument from me that land reform is necessary and just. But "...gradual land reform..." consisted of forces or untrained, and poorly disciplined militias showing up on farms and telling white farmer that they must leave, leave immediately, and that they may not take any equipment necessary for farming, (which always included everything from wheel barrows to automobiles). Any offer of resistance, which included verbal objection, allowed the militias to summarily punish the dispossessed farmers. Usually this consisted of beating and raping women and female children, beating men and male children, and quite often killing them and/or failing to offer any protection from human and animal predators, food, or water as they were forced to leave on foot with nothing but the clothes on their back.

Most Americans don't understand. In the vast majority of sub-Saharan countries, racism doesn't take the same form as it does in America. Tribalism is the basis of "us vs. them." The Zimbabwean's bore me no animosity, my tribe, "America," was not a hereditary enemy. The Rhodesian land owners, mostly white, but also, central Asians, and blacks that were large wealthy black landowners with large holdings outside of their normal tribal lands. All suffered brutally during "land reform."

If I held land in South Africa, I would unload it as quickly as possible and get myself out of South Africa. Why take the chance

SSG (Join to see) - ever wonder why so many Australian, British, Canadian, and New Zealand comedians work in America, not their home countries? Because they do not have freedom of speech. Expressing certain opinions, even in jest is a violation of the law.

I heard nothing in the clip you provided that was left right or down the middle.

Yes or no? former ISIS members, or ISIS sympathizers gained entry to the UK by both legal and illegal means.

Yes or no? three Canadian journalists, (subjects of the Queen) were denied entry? For reason not illuminated in the clip provided, other than they are "extreme Christians."

Under Canadian law, expressing skepticism of a faith in a public forum is hate speech, a crime, and therefore makes one ineligible to enter the UK. Under that standard, anyone who has questioned Christianity, or published a joke on RP would meet the same fate, trying to enter the UK.

You can label me far right if you want, the same with Tucker Carlson, when was the last time you watched his show? I find it humorous when people cite other "sources" when criticizing news/opinion shows and networks. Rhetorical question, to which I really don't expect an answer: Have you watched Tucker Carlson's show? It is my experience with local critics of FoxNews and FoxNews personalities that they have never watched the show(s) that they criticize. It doesn't matter if you are a multi-source news consumer. If it is all liberal sources, you're still a single source consumer.

I have a wide and varied news diet. It includes:
_TV/Cable News: ABC, CBS, NBC, FoxNews, CNN, MSNBC, BBC, UniVision News (Spanish), Noticias Telemundo (Spanish) and NHK World News (Japanese news English feed), and PBS
_Radio: NPR
_Print: (Academic and Professional Peer reviewed Journals) Harvard Business Review, Journal of Foreign Affairs, Journal of Strategic Studies, Agriculture and Nartural Resources.

Clearly the majority of my sources are more "liberal" and "progressive" sources. What right bias news sources are part of your current affairs diet?

Maj John Bell - Right off the bat, I'd say because were a bigger market... however, I suspect I wouldn't be going to see any of those comedians either.

I find it amazing that you failed to pick up on any right wing nationalism in that video.

Criminals go in and out of countries all the time, through both legal and illegal means.

I thought it was clearly explained that they were white nationalists.

You may want to do a little more research on Canadian Hate Speech laws. Saying that Christians suck is clearly not hate speech. Saying that Christians meet in secret to drink the blood of dead people they murder in secret rituals probably would be described as hate speech.

I can stand about 10-15 minutes of Fox before I can't help but turn it off in disgust. So no, while I've seen Fox and Tucker Carlson Tonight, I don't regularly watch it.

The information in the video is right on the money. That just means the presenter and the institution will be attacked. The quoted are real quotes, the data is real and the conclusions are on the mark. That being the case, Tucker and Prager must be attacked.
