MSgt Neil Greenfield why do educated, intelligent people not understand history? Why do they not learn from history.

I’d say that education doesn’t make someone more intelligent. There are plenty of educated, narrow minded people out there. It’s the difference between education, knowledge, wisdom, and insight. Education feeds knowledge, knowledge can turn into wisdom and insight is a rarity. My opinion is that most people don’t care about history, are only interested in the here and now, and what’s it worth to me in the future, which is probably how a lot of reality TV shows got started. But that’s a different topic.

MSgt Neil Greenfield yes, so true. Many people look at the "here and now" and "what have you done for me lately". And these narrow minded greedy people do think of their futures forgetting they have no past foundation.
