Colleges still deal with date rape and other sexual assault issues where young people, alcohol and a flawed system combine to create a toxic environment

It does seem to be a long-standing problem in the military. I fear it will be tough to control unless they want to pound it into recruits heads at basic.

I like that he's making it a priority the first day - and wanting people to actually show what they are doing that works and what's not working. Honestly - I don't know anywhere that SHARP is working honestly. I have seen very, very, very small improvements since SHARP started. I think it was only the last few years that SHARP finally addressed males are victims too. Or narrowing down the definition of consent. Or stating that just because you drink alcohol doesn't mean you can't consent.

The SM who created the SHARP Poem is the first time that someone hit on every single point that should have been addressed since SHARP started.

Hopefully this will be the end of leaders who are all lip service when it comes to SHARP.
