Mission accomplished? I'm surprised they don't go to Cambodia!

Why would they go to Cambodia?

SGT (Join to see) - help out with the other people who are getting rid of the landmines but I guess that would be something that would take them decades and they already have contractors there doing it. The active Army is expanding so I wouldn't be surprised that this unit gets reactivated the next two years.

LTC (Join to see) - That would be a deployment and it would have to be a unit with a sister unit that can hold down the AO during deployment.

63rd was on the chopping block with the force reduction. The BN would not go to Cambodia, a subordinate company would. EOD does not deploy like many think it should, and there are reasons for that too.

likely the companies would be under 10th Sustainment while on base, and under a different BN for operations. Which means the remaining companies would now have to fight with 10th sustainment over having to do taskers like gate guard and chow hall duty which takes much needed EOD technicians away from EOD support to civil authorities, base response, and state department missions.

SFC (Join to see) - That blows. Having been in organizations that compete for the large TDY budget and the delegation of duties that EOD SHOULD NOT be doing, I sympathize. It is a shitty environment to be in. Thanks for the input.
