Interesting read - was not clear if it pertains to Baptist churches or all christian churches. At least from what I have experienced it depends on the area - coming from the Detroit metro area over the years they have had numerous parish closings (yes, mostly in Detroit), yet recently here in San Antonio the diocese has started a capital fund raising so more churches can be built. Catholic that is.

Church music as I know it has virtually vanished. Heck, excepting in shopping malls, even traditional Christmas music is falling out of favor.
