Here is one answer from the press. I remember a lot of these instances.

Trump says terror attacks 'under-reported': Is that true? - BBC News
The White House has attacked the media for under-reporting certain terror attacks: Is their anger justified?

As Spicer surmised, just cause one network (i.e. BBC) in one country reported it doesn't mean it wasn't under-reported by other networks in other countries. I would love to apply that logic to all the murders, all the kidnappings, etc since many horrible incidents that effect our society gets reported and goes unreported; unfortunately, Trump and his staff's comments about media coverage is very subjective and suspiciously geared to justifying the travel restrictions from the executive order.

And this is how propaganda is done. Ironically enough the more outrageous the lie, the more likely it is to work. I'm deeply saddened that many here are not only falling for it, but propagating the mis-information from sites like Infowars. I'm starting to fear this is the most insidious threat we face because we can't even begin to discuss solutions to problems if we can't agree on even the basic facts of reality.
This is happening for all the normal historical reasons. People who lust for power, privilege and money are playing on our basest fears and prejudices and damn the consequences. The people who are being suckered in will have trouble accepting this is happening for the same reason anyone who is conned has a tough time coming to grips with it. It's deeply embarrassing to admit someone has been conning you.

Thank you for acknowledging that Infowars is an example of propagandist fake news. As you can see, I was at a lost for words at the idea that any one in a position of political leadership would be reported as using Infowars as a news source.

It's been known for a while that Trump, Flynn, and several others in this administration (and in Congress) have used InfoWars (and Breitbart, and Daily Caller) as a trusted news source, which is highly disturbing, as nobody in positions of power should ever be listening to such blatant propaganda and conspiracy-mongering factories. Note, also, that heavy reliance on these bullshit sites is entirely lopsided by party.
