Inquiry Ends Into Broadwell's Affair With Petraeus, Classified Data

The Army has acknowledged that Paula Broadwell no longer is under investigation in connection with her affair with Gen. David Petraeus and her acceptance of highly classified material from the military hero who commanded U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
When their relationship became public in 2012, Broadwell was researching and writing a biography about Petraeus, who soon resigned as director of the CIA with public disclosure that he faced an FBI investigation.
The Army also investigated Petraeus, and has said little publicly about the findings of either inquiry.
However, Army spokeswoman Cynthia Smith said Tuesday: "There's no active investigation against Broadwell," who is still an Army Reserve officer.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs Sir, its amazing how long this investigation has taken to officially "close." If I took that long for an investigation I would be looking for a new career.

Based on the way this case has progressed I fully expect that Paula Broadwell has sufficient security clearance to look at the documents but not the need to see them when and where she did.
The irony is that the adulterous relationship of Gen. David Petraeus and Paula Broadwell drews so much attention in this day and age. I know God is offended by altury; but, adultery has become so common on stage, screen and in the periodicals that all but the discerning seem to have their consciences seared in that area..
