North America rightfully belongs to indigenous communities, yet it has been taken away from them by force. Consequently, a false sense of ownership of nature permeates white America.
I call B.S. on that rightfully line. We bought most of it and won wars for the rest.
But what the heck, I have outdoor privilege.

When the Pilgrims landed......they did not find these lands unoccupied. Won wars.....is just another way of saying took by force. Bought most of it? Who did we pay for it....and were they willing to sell? Seems to me our history tells us that we took the rich and fertile land from the Indians......rounded them up and sent them off to lands that were neither rich nor fertile......to live a meager existence under the thumb of the U.S. Government. We did buy some land from the French......but how did that land come under their ownership? The Indians sold it to them?
