New protocols and better medicine are the name of the game. Wouldn't it be nice if we had one of those futuristic lasers that fix that gunshot wound or the amputations that happen while in combat? It would not only cauterize the wound, the wound would heal up right then, and disappears. We don't have a laser that will do that, but I can see it coming in the near future with all of the research and inventions of today.

Despite an increase in the severity of injuries, troops on the battlefield are surviving better than ever before. U.S. military officials and their allies have made a priority of taking care of those wounded returning from war. That’s why the Department of Defense (DoD) is hosting the second annual Warrior Care in the 21st Century symposium Oct. 25-27 in Tampa, Florida, to discuss policies and programs.

Medicine is very expensive; new technology in medicine, even more so. You'd think that companies would provide the military steep discounts for several reasons: 1. patriotism, and 2. a contract with the military ensures a long customer whom buys large quantities of product. I really don't understand why the military gets ripped off so often. Maybe it's just because they can? Either way, we definitely need to integrate our new medical materials into the military and provide the absolute best to those on the front lines.

Because they are controlled by our Government who makes the contracts with those scratch my back companies, ENS (Join to see).
