Yesterday, I shared a science video hosted by the late Astrophysicist Carl Sagan on the subject of the "Speed of Light Constant"..., which is, in my view, a very interesting subject...
Background:
In high school I was enrolled in a college scientific program and took Biology, Chemistry and Physics as well as Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry... In the USAF, I became an Airborne Navigation System tech.. working on Search Radar, Doppler Radar, Inertial reference systems, Instrument landing systems and more.. when my tour of duty was complete, I entered college for the 2nd time to get a college degree and began by taking engineering courses, Math courses up to College level Calculus and Differential Equations and College Physics... Both extremely interesting...
Okay, so much for my background... Astronomy, Physics, Space just fascinates me! Accordingly my astute interest in sharing some very interesting posts with all of you...
One RP member, 7520-pilot-vmfa, raised several items that He wanted me to provide information on, and his comments included the following:
"I don't wish to be rude or unappreciative, you do great work. He made these requests:
1) Schrödinger's cat
2) simple derivation of his...Equation.
3) At least explain quantum...mechanics,
Thank you for being receptive
Bob Carson"
Bob, First of all this is not a forum in a classroom environment and 2nd, I am a 77-year old with an avid interest in Physics, Space, Astronomy, Propulsion Systems, and a litany of related topics.
However, that said. I will indulge you with an interpretation of "Schrodinger's cat" provided by Astrophysicist Dr. Michio Kaku, which I found quite interesting... I am not going to provide you with a derivation of his equation nor am I going to provide you a detailed explanation of Quantum Mechanics... I could, but I do not have the inclination to do that on RP...
However, I do wish to thank you for your comments to my post on the Speed of Light...as I may do some additional research, which I believe I will find very interesting...
