What was there mission? Why were they in shallow water patrol boats with no other assets close by? I have to think a couple of helos quickly on the scene. And/or an another boat to tow them out of there all with the silhouette of a DDG or CG on the horizon would have made for a different (still peaceful) resolution

My issue with the situation is the propaganda videos that were created. Fellow veterans are stating that we would have also arrested the Iranian soldiers or any other nations service members for that matter but, would we make a propaganda news report if we were building a good relationship? There are things that the media isn't going to report but from what we know seems like there may be a little more to this.

They were taken prisoner and had to apologize while the Obummer administration portrays it as a diplomatic effort to secure their release with "Kerry the Sailor" in charge!
