Iraqi Kurds still love US despite its opposition to Kurdish independence, says Kurdish leader

We had to fight Iraq for the Oil Companies and their Kurdish Allies. When we gave them weapons they attacked our base in Turkey

Kurds are VERY tolerant of those of other religions n spite of being 98% Sunni. They also tend to be far more pragmatic and liberal ( by both Islamic standards) in their view of the world. Their quest for independence is a thorn in the side of most other Islamic states because they still live in the 8th century.

Amazing considering how badly we’ve treated them.
