Not sure we have the bandwidth for another combat arena. Afghanistan and Somalia taught us, unless we are prepared for another long was, let the locals control their destiny. Good intel and stand-off weapons should suffice, until and if we close out current military actions. Just an armchair general’s opinion. I promoted myself when I bought a new chair.

Could not agree more Roger... we have not yet learned that it is not about controlling or owning ground - its another nations ground... its about beating IS or AQ and assisting others in doing it. We can not afford any more ground controlling campaigns in this war when it only ties us down and allows the enemy to concentrate else where.

Better intell is needed - we have global gaps in focus... need a single commander for waging the war and a CTF staffing.... standoff weapons are only as effective if used to maximum effectiveness... in combination with other items.
