Good morning my Brothers and Sisters!
Today as I was perusing and previewing some good post material, I came across two awesome Navy Videos regarding take offs and landings on Aircraft Carriers... Sounds pretty simple at first... but it is anything but simple, especially the landings...but I will post that video a bit later... Right now, this video addresses two take offs from the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71)... In the first portion of the video, the camera is in the cockpit of an EA-18G Growler looking over the shoulder of the pilot as he maneuvers the jet into take off position. Then it is like you are in the cockpit as it is catapulted forward... The second take off of an F/A-18 Super Hornet has the camera in front of the pilot looking back over the pilot's shoulder!
In any case you, the viewer, should watch this FULL SCREEN for maximum effect! The larger the screen the better the show!!!
