This retired Canadian General Richard Rohmer wrote a book called 'Generally Speaking' and he said this plane is a no-go if he had his way because he said one engine in the Arctic means sure death for the pilot.

The F-35 will eliminate the A-10. The largest A-10 base in the Air Force is in the good senator's home state of AZ

MSgt John Taylor one of the rare occasions where a politician can rail against overspending on a turd, and save jobs in their state.

PO3 Steven Sherrill - Or the more common occasion where a politician can divert tax dollars to his constituency at the expense of a much needed program.

PO3 Steven Sherrill - We need the F-35, we just don't need the 40 different versions that's being forced upon the manufacture.

The F-35 looked great on paper but it's quickly turning into a money pit just like the commanche was for us. When we finally killed it after decades and billions we upgraded our existing fleet and are continuing on. I think the F35 might fall into the same category, we shall see. I'm not a fan of this aircraft in anyway, and I really thought the AF was trying to stay away from Single engine aircrAft
