Amazing how many people seem to have forgotten that Separation of Powers aspect of our Constitutional Republic. There's only so much authority the intentionally-weakest of the three branches, the Judiciary, has over either of the other two. Might be worth a re-read of that document that was referenced in the oath taken to be part of the military...or, in apparently far too many cases, just read it for the first time.
