I don't know if it will be in the documentary, but one of his interviews went on about race relations and how a disproportionate number of blacks were sent into combat and subsequently killed. This was not the case as the numbers corresponded almost perfectly with the black US population

Yeah... but it depends on how you massage the numbers. Most of the folks in Vietnam were NOT draftees...
It's a numbers game...

"25% (648,500) of total forces in country were draftees. Draftees accounted for 30.4% (17,725) of combat deaths in Vietnam.
Overall, blacks suffered 12.5% of the deaths in Vietnam at a time when the percentage of blacks of military age was 13.5% of the total population.
88.4% of the men who actually served in Vietnam were Caucasian; 86.3% of the men who died in Vietnam were Caucasian (includes Hispanics)"

Sgt Wayne Wood I am really looking forward to watching this. I only hope it doesn't reflect badly on us Vietnam veterans.

I think this series is a must-watch for everyone who lived through that time period. There are very few people from back then who did not have some opinion and/or feeling about the war. Maybe this duco-series will help everyone really look at the era with a more accepting eye for the other side of the cultural divide.
