Ketamine offers lifeline for people with suicidal thoughts

I've known folks who've used Special K to get high, and others who used it to drown out the pain, but this is the first time I've heard where it could be used positively to help those suffering with suicidal tendencies. It's kind of how Seroquel could calm someone down with PTSD, but the side effects were you're gonna eat everything in the kitchen and then some. Plus the Army regs state that even while taking a drug that can clearly cause weight gain, you still have to make H/W. Maybe this could allow folks to get the help and stay within regs? I wonder if there will be more studies with Special K and could it involve veterans or currently serving members who are suffering in silence?
