I saw the title and immediately assumed the author of the paper was a liar. Seeing that he was a petroleum specialist who was knifing people in the ribs confirmed it.

SSG Richard Reavis - You must know a lot of sheep as senior NCOs. Within my peer group we don't tap dance around and worry about hurt feelings.

SSG Richard Reavis -I can only relate to this post as one that served in the years 1965-1968 at that time I never ran across multiple MOSs in the Infantry branch I am the first to admit that I do not know how the current or even the not so current Army handles such matters.I will say that reading the original post and postscript seems to me ,somebody is embellishing his service, and that kind of hits a nerve with me,we Vietnam vets are kind of touchy on that subject,I hope I have shown no disrespect in answering your comment ,none was meant.

SSG Richard Reavis - We are two different breeds of men, and you know what? I am perfectly fine with that and satisfied with that. Now run along and go play with the others.

SSG Richard Reavis - Why would my row be hard to hoe? I have a tractor and the soil is fertile. You seem like the kind of person who needs attention and thinks that it is unprofessional because I believe jackasses who lie about what they did in the military are worthless. Here's a mind blower, this guy isn't my "brother". I have never worked with him, never fought beside him, or drank a beer with him and he has exhibited traits that are not in alignment with the values and ethics that are the standard. He is an idiot, a liar, and a loser. Anyone who steps into that kid's corner to back him and say, "We are all brothers!", well you are the company you keep.

I spent a little bit of time in college and when writing essays they expect your true representations of what is on your mind. I personally think the school should not have the right to expel him based on an essay. He provided service to his country and the fact that he is being punished is absurd.

This kid never killed anything but time while watching episodes of South Park between Logpac runs. Dual MOS Infantry and Fueler? Knife kills??? I've had a Ranger tab since 1999 and I don't have a dual MOS of 11B, and I don't know anyone who has a knife kill, let alone multiple ones. This is a kid who enlisted and took the job that paid the largest bonus and who burned ants with a magnifying glass as a child.
But, with all his BS, it seems strange that a community college would justify expelling someone for an English essay. Also, I can't believe he received an A for that dribble. He must have some soft teachers.

SFC (Join to see) and SSG Derrick L. Lewis MBA, C-HRM I updated my post a bit so the point comes across a little better. The school did not know that he lied or that he was not an infantryman - they expelled him for his, albeit over the top, essay / article about his service to the country. Should they be able to do that? Yeah, and he probably did not deserve an A!
