Ira Hayes got to die in a gutter because he was a drunk. I can feel for him, he was a veteran. He needed someone to care for him.

Very sad if you know who Ira Hayes was

A great tune about a Marine legend in one of the most epic battles of the Corps history captured in the most iconic image of modern warfare. Johnny Cash did the original and it is a great tune about a tragic figure that never really recovered from his time at war.
