To show you how Edmonton downplays history, we have a summer fair called" Klondike Days". Now it is just called "K-days" nobody knows what it means anymore. It really pisses me off.

It used to be called Klondike days. They had a mining section in the used to have a big statue like this. Now it's about making money and ripping off people. Even the vendors have to buy the drinks from the fairgrounds and there are about $2.50 a piece wholesale. It's about bending over and screwing over the public. It's not about celebrating the gold rush

What a history story! I was lucky enough to pay a visit to that area is 2006 - It's amazing what hardships those went to, to hopefully find gold.
