Great story! I had heard some about him, but not that in depth. A real down to earth kind of guy.
Always loved this quote: "The best way to catch a knuckleball is to wait till it stops rolling, then pick it up" - Bob Uecker.
There's also a good movie out about the small fraternity of knuckleballers. Very interesting and humorous.
