Thanks for reminding us TSgt Joe C. that on April 20, 1978 the Soviet aircraft forced a Korean Air Lines passenger jet to land in the Soviet Union after the jet veered into Russian airspace. Two people were killed and several others injured when the jet made a rough landing on a frozen lake about 300 miles south of Murmansk.
The Soviets accused the pilots and crew of being spies which exacerbated that international incident.

Interesting how the intelligence agencies were able to get the recording from the actual pilot getting permission to fire is missile. The Soviets got blood on their hands that the spinmeisters couldn't BS away.
