I hate this. And I absolutely agree. The man did 20 years and retired as an E-6. He should be proud of that, no need to embellish.

Exactly!! Is his ego so fragile? Maybe he should have stayed in and kept the status. I was an E-4 when I got out. Nothing news worthy. But then again, who would believe me if I claimed to be a SEAL? :)

With the technology and communication available today, why would anyone risk posing/faking like that? Faking about being in SpecOps is even tougher, because they are all small communities, and know eachother. If you cannot recall the name of someone in a SpecOps unit you claim to be a part of, you're not the real deal. If you cannot remember where you went to Basic, AIT, what your class numbers unit designation was, you are either a faker, or just really old. Just. Don't. Do. It.
