There is a Schism in the climate change community and California and Canada are one of the few that's imposing carbon taxes and making it a big scam. Climate change happens for various reasons but the hundred scientists know what they're talking about. You can't be California and Canada and add $0.25 a gallon or more on the price of gas to save the planet.

"Lindzen, who spearheaded the petition, has for decades been considered one of the world’s leading climate scholars." - This isn't true. In fact, a number of things about this article either aren't really true or omit some key details.
It's one thing to say that solutions to climate change need work, but the idea that it isn't happening or isn't influenced by human industry is twisted. Additionally, Lindzen doesn't hold his position because of his climate views, but despite them.
Additionally, Singer is one of the guys saying that smoking isn't a health risk.
