They could have picked a better cast. Tim Curry as the Narrator is a great match for his age (and current condition) but I would have liked to see another round up of cast members. Maybe Susan Surrandon's daughter would have been a better choice for Janet (given she looks like her mom, she's attractive and honestly fits more of the bill than what was chosen).
Maybe I'm being too analytical but it's hard to remake such classics that are just great by themselves...whether they are over 40+ years old.
