Saw him perform a number of times, CW5 Jack Cardwell, as he was a frequent host of the Grand Ole Opry! Here's "Dickens performing at the Grand Ole Opry House in 2004. Notice the six-foot circle of oak which was cut from the corner of the Ryman Auditorium's stage and inlaid into center stage at the Grand Ole Opry House."
Many may not know that the Grand Ole Opry is no longer performed at the Ryman Auditorium (the old brick building pictured) in downtown Nashville. They now perform at the Grand Ole Opry House (also pictured) which is located a good distance east from downtown and just south of Opyrland Hotel.
