Thanks for the post, LTC Ivan Raiklin, Esq. ... I've heard of fewer protests lately after awards have been announced for major defense programs. I don't know if the reason is that some defense firms, don't want to undertake the legal costs of filing the protest & going through all the appeals and review processes.
Or is the reason for fewer protests, is the trend towards larger defense firms, gobbling up smaller defense firms through acquisition? Or perhaps is this consolidation larger in defense firms are deliberately segregating themselves into particular areas that they will excel in, and they know they'll likely get a piece of the pie anyway through a sub-contract? Interesting post!!
