I worked for a stone mason who helped develop an area around Seeley Lake. His name was Bill Forrest. He was elderly man but as rugged as the mountains. One of the guys on the crew was a hippie. He was a wild guy, fun to work with, hippie used to run with hard core bikers. Bill mainly worked in Helena Montana. Bill liked The hippie and used to take him for small jobs or finish up work. Bill had a camper trailer at Seeley Lake. Bill snored and had sleep apnea. The sleep apnea drove the hippie crazy. Bill would stop breathing and hippie would wake up and start counting until Bill took a breath again. One day they were driving back and the Hippie asked Bill if he wanted him to drive. Bill said no. About 45 minutes into the return drive Bill pulled over to the road side. Hippie asked Bill what was wrong. Bill said, “I don’t remember the last 20 minutes”. Bill laid me off on a Friday and keep the hippie. The hippie didn’t show up to work for the next 3 or 4 days after I was laid off.
