THE ROLES, CAPABILITIES AND LIMITATIONS OF COMBAT VEHICLES OF MECHANIZED CAVALRY
Learn the capabilities and limitations of WWII era Combat vehicles
Thank you for sharing my friend CW5 Jack Cardwell a 1938 US Army Training Film focused on the M1 Armored Car: "Combat Vehicles Of Mechanized Cavalry"
This is somewhat more entertaining than reading a tech manual, after all :-)
Here is a companion film

Neat! When I was stationed in 1-1 Cav (Beudingen, Germany) 2000-2003; we had a half-track on static display at the front gate. One day the Squadron Commander got the idea to have it restored for a parade commemorating the liberation of the town during WW2. About 6 months later and roughly a $250K later. That half-track was fully restored and rolling around the post and in the city. It was shiny and brand new looking like it came fresh off the factory floor.

Nicethat it was restored.. it could of just been loaded on a flat-bed for the parade and the money spent on the troop’s welfare in another way within the Company/Batallion/Base.
Not meaning to be a spoil-sport..
just that their are better ways to spend the Army funds within the units.
