And another one bites the dust. 4 missing. They won't find them. Fair winds and following seas, Sailors. This fire (and ship) was big enough to be seen from space. See photo at the bottom of the article.

Have you heard of many fires on a containership? I admit I don't know. I thought there would be more on Petroleum product carriers.

No they're pretty rare. My guess is someone shipped something they weren't supposed to.

LT Brad McInnis - Just my suspicion, LT, because it /looks/ like the fire is amidships. But that could be perspective of the photo. Might have been an engineering casualty, which would be a lot less rare. As you know.
