Capt Dwayne Conyers Any Drug can be Addictive but I haven't ever used or tried Opioids so I have No Experience in that Matter but I was a Teenager in the Mid 70's needless to say yes I smoked weed and I never became addicted. I Strongly Suspect the Opioids are Very Addictive.

Capt Dwayne Conyers: Researchers are conducting investigations into the link between the use of marijuana for the reduction of pain and the reduction of the use of opioids when medicinal marijuana is available. There are several states which recently concluded their annual statistics on death due to opioid overdose, prescriptions for opioids/marijuana, etc. It does appear that in those states where medicinal marijuana is legal, the prescription rate for opioids has been reduced. What was more interesting was that the older population (although I have a problem with the term older referring to a 45 year old) was more likely to request the medical marijuana and ditch the opioids when dealing with chronic, long term pain.
