Icons are supposed to be painted by monks or priests in monasteries. They are never to be painted by a single artist because this can be prideful. Most Orthodox churches receive icons from monasteries.

Traditional, Classical should always be Painted by Greek or Russian Orthodox and they are Very Beautiful in a Unique Way.
