Not to get into the weeds on the topic of females integrated into combat MOS's. As an enlisted member of the Marine Corps I can tell you that the officers were held to the highest of standards. All of my Platoon commanders, and Company commanders lead from the front, and were expected to exceed all physical standards. I never once saw any of my officers sucking wind during any activity, falling out of ruck marches or falling to the rear during movements in the field. The change has been made at the highest of levels; the real test will be once each officer gets to their first duty assignment. It will been then that they sink or swim.

Heh, reads like those days are over but of note the Army had something similar BUT after commissioning and that was to send Infantry Officers to RANGER school for the RANGER tab. I wonder now if that is at risk.......if it is we are in serious trouble.

Now I know why Marines get flat feet and bad backs. 152 lb load? I weighed 152 lb when I went through basic training in the army. Why is it less weight for ncos? Not everybody is going to be built like Dwayne Douglas Johnson also known as The Rock.

SFC (Join to see) - "Show me an infantrymen who claims that they have never repeatedly done this type of task and I will show you a liar."............I hope your joking, rather an extreme all or nothing statement that is over the top.

SPC Erich Guenther - I'm not joking. I have done my time on the chain gang, and I say if you have never lifted the equivalent weight of an ammo can to the height of a 2.5 truck 25 times...then you have never served in the infantry and are in fact a liar.

SFC (Join to see) - Wow, I thought you were more experienced than that being a SFC. I guess TIS isn't always reliable in that respect.

SPC Erich Guenther - Says the kid who has only been on the block for a day. I get it, you fancy yourself as some salty Specialist who probably tells stories about being in the E-4 mafia to impress your old high school girlfriend, but I have socks that have more time in the Infantry than you do. I don't mean that as a disparaging remark, just that I've been around longer which means I have seen more than you. Even the broke-dick 11B working in a mail room because he is on permanent profile waiting for his Med Board has done an equivalent task 25 times or more. Now go find a tree and koalafy yourself.

If this is unimportant, lower the standard for all genders, problem solved.

It is important. If there is the slightest chance of enemy contact; Infantry Officers, SNCO's, and NCO's have duties that must still be carried out immediately in the field, even if the junior Marines duties move into less demanding. Plus they still have to prepare their own fighting positions, etc. etc. etc. There is no such thing as too tired.

I understand that, it’s why I made the comment about the importance. Sheez, Major, it seems like by now you would realize my sarcastic statements to show how dumb an issue is are SOP.
