Marines ‘hang’ flash-bang mortar rounds for first time

I started out as an 11C, CW5 Jack Cardwell! This photo was taken at the SF Heavy Weapons FTX, Fort Bragg, NC, AUG70. I'm hanging rounds (assistant gunner) down the tube of the M30, 4.2" mortar while attending Weapons NCO Supervisor Candidate Special Forces Course.

Equivalent to 14 flash bang grenades, sounds promising.

I like the "painting" thing, Sort of like the die in a money bag for a bank robber. Easy to spot later.
