Recognizing the importance electromagnetic warfare will play, the Marine Corps plans to make big investments in new systems.
As part of force design updates the Corps announced for 2030, the service is looking to invest around $1 billion in development over the next five years, Col. Dave Burton, program manager for intelligence systems and portfolio manager for command element systems at Marine Corps Systems Command, said April 21 at the virtual C4ISRNET Conference.

This sounds like a sort of an "OODA loop" from Col. John Boyd who had a lot to do with Marine Corps tactics except instead of ground operations this is focused in the electromagnetic world.

At some point in future wars the US will fight, are fighting with the discussion and dialogue concerning sending in ground troops into fortified positions to root out an angry enemy soldier one meter at a time. This means going hole to hole digging out of the ground motivated enemy adversaries one kill at a time. War is a bloody business. The Marines learned this in the Pacific in WW 3. They relearned this in the battle for Hue City in Vietnam.

Another lofty idea of an electronic defense dreamt up by President Johnsons McNamara's gang of intellectual Harvard elite lead Marines into the rats hole fish barrel at Con Thien in the fall of 1967. What ended up was a slug fest between elite force of the North Vietnamese Army, and the 9th Marine Regiment, with my 2nd bn 4th Marines.
