Although I’ve been a proponent of the Corps keeping their own uniform patterns (biased on being a former Marine). I think it’s time all branches use the same uniforms as a cost savings to tax payers. It seems every time you turn around one of the branches is creating a new uniform and wasting DOD funds that could me spent more wisely. But common sense has never been a DOD strong suit.

Revision: as CWO5 Ray Lee brought to my attention! I want to be clear, I’m only taking about the work/utility uniforms. Each service needs their own dress uniforms to distinguish themselves from the other. And we all know Marines are much sharper then anyone else with their Dress Blues! Just saying! Semper Fi

Case of history being repeated, this was done in the 60s when all branches had the same olive draft sateen and the woodland cammie under McDamara. When the Marine came out with the MARPAT in 2000, other services followed. Seriously you want us Marine to give up there Dress Blues?

CWO5 Ray Lee - No way, no how sir! Was just thinking the work/utility uniform. Need the dress uniforms to represent the difference and pride taken by each service.

Just pulling your leg, Top! In my days there were summer and winter change of uniforms. Next came an all season class A. The Blues have not changed. With the current MARPAT utilities and the Navy’s copy of their work uniform, I often mistaken sailors from Marines. Lol.
