While the data use is a good idea, as (Mass) State Sen. Eric Lesser indicates, rules regarding information privacy need to be written into law, rather than be regulations that future administrations could easily change.

We used that as far back as the 1960s, that I know of. Toll roads are your option, no one is forcing you to use them.

Nothing new here. No need to go through a toll booth. Just about every police cruiser you see is equipped to capture your plate and and it is instantly checked. Not to mention many intersections are doing the same thing via cameras.

Why not use what is available to you. This is a good tool for law enforcement.
