I read an article about a guy who did not speak another language, but learned the vocabulary for Scrabble. He became a champion in France (I think), which ticked a number of the French off.

Lt Col Charlie Brown Cool! I see her strategy she used was to read the dictionary. Not something this math teacher would do!

Everyone who knows me finds this strange, but I don't play board games of any kind. Never played scrabble ...not a single game. Don't even know the rules. But...people playing it back before the Internet did used to ask me if what they spelled was really a word. And Puzzles...never did those either. And I know just two card games. Must be a glitch in my mental makeup.

SGT Kevin Hughes board games enhance school aged children's brain patterns that helps prepare them for ACT and SAT testing. Board games help those of us south of 50 to stimulate brain functions that keeps it healthy.

PO3 Phyllis Maynard - I scored a 36 on my ACT. Never took the SAT. Just never got the hang of those board games.

SGT Kevin Hughes when I was a kid I just did not know how good we had it. But today, technology sends another message. The young people's minds do not seem to be leaning towards enlightenment the way the board games inspired learning.
I get it! Board games were not your thing and you did just great!

We spent almost three years in Turkey, power outages were frequent...we played many, many rounds of backgammon by candlelight and/or flashlights. My then 6 year old took on many of our Turkish neighbors and often beat them! That's definitely a numbers game Cpl Vic Burk
