I understand, I just wish film and TV actors and or actresses had to actually put on the uniform, as did many of those during ww2, whether combat or noncombat. I just think that the viewer of an entertainer all too freq tends to lose sight of the reality that entertainers depicting service personnel, however well actedmthe parts might be, as in the band of brothers series, Unbroken, or the film the great raid, are, for the most part, at least to my way of thinking, fakes. Even well intentioned entertainers who devote time to vet related causes , and there are notable examples of those who are to be deservedly praised for their efforts, generally, for the most part, have never had any actual direct service exposure, regardless of the competence of any performances they give, or what causes they might try to help support. I obviously don't deny the effort, however, such entertainers are, quite frequently, totally devoid of any semblance of service reality. There are notable exceptions, of course, it's just that I tend to notice that there rather few and far between nowadays for the most part, I think , I'd welcome any thoughts, feedback, or observations, of course, by all means .
