Hillary Clinton has tried to say she has always been a "progressive" but her long and old, and deep money ties to the Walton family (Arguably the wealthiest family in the USA), and to Walmart say otherwise (arguably the single biggest Corporate Welfare recipient in the US, as tens of thousands of Walmart Employees and their families are receiving public assistance benefits because Walmart does not pay a livable wage for many of their employees to keep themselves and their families off of public assistance-all of these benefits paid for by middle-class wage earner's taxes). So in effect the Middle class is having some amount of its wealth re-distributed to Walmart in order for the Corporate Welfare Queen Walmart to enjoy higher profits while denying its employees a living wage, and then they have the Middle Class tax payer pick up the check.
This is just one of many examples of how the last thirty years have seen the greatest shift of wealth transferred from the Middle Class to Corporate Interests and the very rich.
And no, you don't have to be a socialist to be pissed off by this, and by the hypocrisy of Hillary Rodham Clinton, when she laughingly tries to brush off her and Bill's Wall Street and Big Corporate Money ties, and ties to Super Wealthy Donors to the Clinton Foundation and to the Super Pacs that support Hillary, or her obscene speaking fees to groups that are looking to purchase good will and influence with her and Bill Clinton.
Despite repeated calls to release her list of paid speaking engagements, and who paid her and how much, Hillary has not released the texts of her speeches and the who paid the speaking fees and what groups she was paid to speak to.
"Associated Press reported in 2006 that Mrs. Clinton was paid $18,000 annually plus $1,500 for each meeting she attended as a board member. The Clintons had $100,000 in Walmart stock, which was put into a blind trust after the 1992 election. The Clintons also flew for free on Wal-Mart corporate planes 14 times in 1990 and 1991, in preparation for Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential bid.
The ties between the Clintons and the Walton family continue to this day. Alice Walton, the daughter of Wal-Mart’s founder Sam Walton, is a big supporter of Hillary Clinton becoming the Democratic presidential nominee in 2016. According to filings with the FEC, Alice Walton gave $25,000, the maximum allowed under federal law, to the super PAC Ready for Hillary. According to Clinton Foundation’s disclosures, the Walmart Foundation and the Walton Family Foundation each have given between $1 million and $5 million to the Clinton Foundation." From:
