First, I've not been to this location in London but I have been to locations with the touch screens. They are clunky at best and half the people in line don't know how to use them and it takes longer to get your order done due to this. There are also stories about the cleanliness of these things touched by dirty hands.
I am for quicker more efficient service but no place to sit and eat is just a cost push elsewhere. They are saving on real estate and leaving the city or others to deal with trash and of course the loads of garbage that will invariably make it on the ground.
