I don't know how safe I would feel on a WWII Era Helicopter but if your shot I guess any transportation to a field hospital is a good thing.

Capt Daniel Goodman Nice to know. I do not recall seeing any mention of a helicopter in Burma. What I recall, is that I sure didn't miss having been there! Those Mauraders were hary Soldiers

Thanks for sharing the link and reminder about Medevac flights in Burma Capt Daniel Goodman
General Slim, Chindits and Merrill's Marauders were famous in operations in those dense s=jungles against the Japanese but the medevac DC3 airplanes saved many lives although many more would have been saved if today's medical capabilities existed back then.
