IMO, this shows how our society has failed too many. Understanding and reacting to the motives seem to be beyond our capabilities. Also, this shows the dangers of religion being used to justify anything.
Apparently these women are missing something in their lives, or some traumatic event impacted them to the extent that they are in this frame of mind.
I am sure a well trained phycologist could give us some hint into what causes this. Until we address the root causes, we will never rid our society of this danger, the same as school shootings, and "suicide by cop" as I think it may be the same psychological problem.

Absolutely agree. I’m pretty sure these woman fell for the absolute beliefs that these men would love and cherish them! Said sweet nothings to them and made them believe they were above all others.

Co dependence has a huge role in the lives of these woman that made the poor choice to leave one abusive house to prove themselves in another abusive house.

We see it all the time within our own country. we just choose not to address it because of human rights and freedom of choice. The polygamy in our own country is no different then what the ISIS do with woman. The only thing our Govt can do about it is to arrest the man if he marries a woman under 18.

It’s just tactical and perfect brain washing and false promises. The minute these woman mention the problems they go through they instantly become targets.

Sad really.

Sorry ... not sure I understand how society has "failed too many." Too many have failed to belly up to the bar and take responsibility for themselves in our society. Society is a nebulous thing ... has no elected leaders, takes no votes, is simply an amalgamation of people, their views, and their actions.

LTC (Join to see) - I believe "society" sets the standards of appropriate behavior. If we, as a society, do not see the problems and situations that leads to something like this, and attempt to take corrective action, then we fail as a civilized society. I relate this issue to any anti-society actions, such as criminal behavior, drug abuse, etc.
We are no longer the solitary being, out there in the wilderness alone, fighting the elements. We ended that thousands of years ago when we formed into groups (tribes) and accepted others into our tribe. When we did that, we accepted, to a degree, the responsibility for others in our group. If we set standards, we must be capable of understanding way some in our group do not, and attempt to rectify that. To rectify a problem, one must do two things; identify the problem, then try to take action to correct it.
In some of these cases here, we did not do so.

I say let 'em go.

They're in for a rude awakening when they get to wherever it is they're going. They'll find they are considered nothing more than tools, to be used and disposed of as those over them see fit. No rights, no liberties, nothing like what they probably think life is going to be like.

And that's fine by me. Because there's nothing like the militantly ignorant getting their comeuppance for their willful and malicious stupidity.

Call me heartless. Call me jaded.

But mostly, call me apathetic because I just don't care about these people.

Not a good move on their part considering how women are regarded in the ME.
