Jack Lambert revolutionized the middle linebacker role in the NFL. He played in nine straight Pro Bowls and played in and won four Superbowls including his first in his rookie year. He played at Kent State with Nick Sabin and Gary Pinkel in Kent State's only championship and first bowl game. Even though I am a Browns fan, I always admired his approach to the game. I am from the same county and played in the same high school conference as Lambert, and I played against his half-brother in the seventies. He proved that size doesn't matter, only the desire to excel.
