One story: I remember being in another country finding out that I was bumped from my Space A on leave and a fellow Sailor just walked up to me introduced himself and offered me a place to stay. I spent 2 days in his home and he could not have been more hospitable. That really stuck with me. Just one of a bunch of stories that reflect "taking care of our own".
