Nobody thinks that having a period is unacceptable. It's just like if you saw somebody in public openly talking about taking shits, it's not polite or acceptable to talk about that in public. Both are normal bodily functions, but neither are acceptable to talk about in public because it's not polite and it is gross. But the way the commercial is presented, makes you think that it's talking about transgendered males having periods. Nobody is saying having periods in general is unacceptable, it's just not polite or acceptable to talk about it in public because no one wants to hear about it just like no one wants to hear about other people taking shits.
