Thank you for sharing this CPT (Join to see). I had shot Mr. Durant and email a few years ago from my Navy account and surprisingly he responded. It was basically wishing him well. Your article reinforces well that he has moved on and is in fact doing well.

This is a great story! Overcame a lot to continue to be a successful citizen in spite of the adversity he went through.

I had a couple of guys over from the 75th and 1st SFOD a while back that did the Mogadishu mile and I remember one of the guys complaining about all the unwanted attention. One of the guys, Cash, got pulled over for speeding and the officer that just happened to pull him over was reading the book at the time. The officer made the connection and then 20 minutes later after signing the book no ticket and a 'have a nice day'. On the flip side my wife had no idea who these guys were other than that they were or are in the Army. Good to see Mr. Durant moving forward and enjoying life.
